To ensure your system's efficiency, it is vital to choose the proper wires and accessories. This is done to ensure the system's security and reliability, as well as to reduce energy/voltage loss. Solar modules are fabricated with different connectors.

You must use the proper connector to plug the solar modules in parallel. You can always add a combiner box which allows multiple connections to connect additional solar modules. If there is a combination box, your connectors must be twice as long as the distance between your panels and box. You must NEVER cut the wires coming from the solar panel; it could void the product's warranty.

First of all, it is imperative to have cables with connectors that can be plugged into the solar modules. Secondly, you need to select the right cable to relay the batteries together. Finally, a cable to relay the inverter and batteries is required. To lower the power loss, the cable needs to be short and have large cross-sectional area.

The cable is composed of wires that protect it from humidity, sunlight, heat, chemical products and abrasive materials. For better protection in difficult weather, a shielded cable is required. For outside use, all cables and accessories must be waterproof and sunlight resistant.
